Conservation Practices Program

The Partners for Conservation Program is a USDA led program that provides cost share assistance and other financial incentives for projects that conserve soil, protect water quality and reduce flooding.

Projects include Water and Sediment Control Basins, Terraces, Waterways, Grade Stabilization Structures, Critical Area Plantings and Diversions.

This is a 60/40 cost share program with the State paying 60% of the estimated or actual cost of the project, whichever is less.  Sign up is during the months of February and March.  This program is funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
